habe ich die Übersetzung der chinesischen Schriftzeichen auf der rückwärtigen Platine erhalten. Wie schon von Guido gepostet, bedeuted der obere Schriftzug "Shanghai", unten steht "gefertigt von Zhang Henglong".
Habe im Netz nach einen Uhrmacher / eine Manufaktur diesen Namens gesucht, außer eine schlechten (automatischen?) Übersetzung auf einer obskuren türkischen Seite (http://bobo123.blogcu.com/hnicians/9163301) jedoch nichts dazu gefunden:

Jedenfalls taucht hier der Begriff "Zhang Henglong watch shop" im Zusammenhang mit der Jahreszahl "1852" auf. Auch wenn mein Trum sicher keine "watch" sondern eine "clock" ist, passt die Jahreszahl ja zu unserer vagen Datierung (widerspricht ihr zumindest nicht).
Weiß jemand (vielleicht die Teilnehmer der Peking-Exkursion), ob es in China eine horologischen Gesellschaft o.ä. gibt, die sich mit dem Werdegang der chinesischen Uhrenmacherei befasst?
