We have a VFU Universal clock, see attachment. Can anyone help us to find out the manufacturing year of the clock? We would'n want to put it into pieces just to find out the year.
If the serial number is 1980680.
We are thankful for any help.

first of all, welcome to the DGC forum!
I am not sure, if the attached photo and the serial number will be effectual enough to provide a detailed information about the year of manufacturing.
If possible, I kindly would like to ask you to provide more photos of the clock / of housing / the movement, potentially allowing to determine at least a period of manufacturing based on the style of the outer case and based on technical details.
It might help the specialists around to give a well-founded indication.
